Elmwood sits between the Mississippi River and Jefferson Highway with a mix of 1960s ranch homes on narrow lots and newer commercial buildings in the business park. Our crews know which streets off River Road or Elmwood Parkway allow a roll-off truck to back in without blocking traffic or hitting low branches. We drop containers on the street or driveway depending on the lot width and check for overhead wires before we leave.
Hurricane season brings sudden rain that turns low spots near the levee into standing water within hours. We schedule deliveries and pickups around those windows and place dumpsters on plywood when the ground is soft so they do not sink. Residents along Cleary Avenue or Mounes Street often need smaller 10-yard units because driveways are short and fences sit close to the curb.
We keep the same weekday and Saturday hours every week so you can plan around work or school drop-offs at nearby Elmwood Academy. Call ahead and we confirm the exact spot with you before the truck rolls out from our yard.

Dumpster Rental in Elmwood — Local Notes
- •Many Elmwood lots have shallow ditches along the curb that fill quickly in heavy rain, so we set dumpsters on boards to keep them level and avoid blocking drainage.
- •Driveways off Jefferson Highway are often short and shared, requiring precise placement so the container does not overhang the sidewalk or neighbor's property.
- •Homes built in the 1960s near the river have narrow side yards, making 10- and 15-yard containers the practical choice for most residential cleanouts.
- •Business park sites along Mounes Street usually have gated entrances that close at 5 pm, so we coordinate drop-off times before gates lock.
